Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt |
MAYBE now Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will finally start getting some press coverage. Word broke last week that the pair is set to marry later this year in New Orleans. That kind of legal maneuvering makes sense when one partner has enough cash to bathe in Cristal (like Britney) while the other has no discernible assets outside of a skull bong he purchased from a street vendor in Venice Beach (like K-Fed). But what about Brangelina? It's not like Angelina is going to starve if Brad leaves her. Or at least starve any more than she's already forcing herself to. "The fact that they're both wealthy doesn't make it more or less important to get a prenup," says celebrity divorce lawyer Randy Kessler, who has repped rappers and pro athletes, among others with more money than you'll ever see. "A prenup gives clarity. It avoids them having to use me." The idea is that if the marriage ends - known to happen in Hollywood - the prenup will help the couple avoid an ugly public battle over assets. And just what about those assets? Both Pitt and Jolie are among the highest-paid talents in the business, but Pitt is reportedly worth a bit more.
